Erskine Academy announces top 10 seniors
Erskine Academy has announced the Class of 2025 Top Ten Seniors.
Valedictorian is Emmett Appel, son of William Appel and Suzanne Brown, of Windsor. Throughout his time at Erskine, Emmett has participated in such activities as National Honor Society, the Environmental Club, Youth in Government, Math Team, the International Outreach Coalition, Student Council, and he is a three sport athlete. Emmett is a high honor roll student and has received awards of distinction in English, Algebra, Geometry, Biology, Chemistry, Calculus, Statistics, and US History. Emmett has received the Rensselaer Medal, the George Eastman Young Leaders Award, and he was one of two Maine delegates to the U.S. Senate Youth Program. In addition, Emmett has received a Renaissance Senior of the Trimester award and is a Maine Principals’ Association Award recipient. Emmett plans to attend Princeton University with a dual major in Mechanical Engineering and Public Policy.
Salutatorian is Gabrielle Daggett, daughter of Christopher and Amber Daggett, of Chelsea. Gabrielle has participated in such activities as Student Council, Future Business Leaders of America, LEO Club, the EA Theatre Club, and Swim Team. A student who has received high honor roll distinction every trimester, Gabrielle is the recipient of awards of excellence in English and Health. In addition, Gabrielle has also been a recipient of the Society of Women Engineers Award and a Renaissance Senior of the Trimester award. Gabrielle plans to attend the University of Maine to study Biology with a Pre-Med focus.
Third in academic standing is Jade McCollett, daughter of Don and Amy McCollett, of Chelsea. Jade has participated in such activities as National Honor Society, the Spanish Honor Society, HOPE (Helping Others Persevere at Erskine), Track & Field, and she has completed over 200 hours of community service projects. Jade has received high honor roll distinction every trimester, and is a Phi Beta Kappa Award recipient. Jade plans to attend Husson University to major in Health Science and Occupational Therapy.
Fourth in academic standing is Lillian Rispoli, daughter of Bill and Maureen Rispoli, of Palermo. Lillian has been a participant of such activities as National Honor Society, Youth in Government, Student Council, the EA Leadership Team, Future Business Leaders of America, Tennis, and Prom Committee. Lillian has achieved high honor roll distinction every trimester, she is a Renaissance Senior of the Trimester award recipient, and she received the Frederick Douglas and Susan B. Anthony award. Lillian plans to attend Daytona State College with a major in General Studies.
Fifth in academic standing is Madison McNeff, daughter of Matthew McNeff, of Windsor, and Sara Langis, of China. Madison has been a participant of such activities as National Honor Society, the EA Leadership Team, the International Outreach Coalition, and Lacrosse. Madison is a four year honor roll recipient, has received awards of distinction in Algebra, Integrated Science, and Physical Education, and received the Saint Michael’s College Book Award. Madison plans to attend the University of Maine to major in Nursing.
Sixth in academic standing is Eleanor Maranda, daughter of Joseph and Tammy Maranda, of Chelsea. Eleanor is Treasurer of National Honor Society and she has participated in such activities as the EA Theatre Club, Math Team, Book Club, Crafting Club, the Civil Rights Team, and Spanish Honor Society. Eleanor has been a consistent high honor roll student, has received awards of distinction in Spanish and US History, and was the recipient of the Bausch & Lomb Honorary Science Award. Eleanor plans to attend Thomas College with a major in Psychology.
Seventh in academic standing is John Edwards, son of James and Melissa Edwards, of Palermo. John is Secretary of National Honor Society and he has participated in such activities as Youth in Government and the International Outreach Coalition. John is a four year honor roll recipient and has received a Renaissance Senior of the Trimester award. John plans to major in Biology with a Pre-Med focus at Boston University.
Eighth in academic standing is Carlee Sanborn, daughter of Robert and Jennifer Sanborn, of China. Carlee serves as President of National Honor Society and has been a member of such activities as Student Council, the Spanish Honor Society, WRITE Club, Drama Club, Gaming Club, Prom Committee, and Tennis. Carlee has received high honor roll distinction nearly every trimester, and she has received an award of excellence in Health. Carlee plans to attend the Berkshire Institute for Christian Studies.
Ninth in academic standing is Ryan Farnsworth, son of John and Jennifer Farnsworth, of Windsor. Ryan has participated in such activities as Soccer, and the Spanish Honor Society. In addition, Ryan has achieved honor roll distinction every trimester. Ryan plans to major in Civil Engineering at the University of Maine.
Tenth in academic standing is Brooke Blais, daughter of John and Pamela Blais, of Vassalboro. Brooke has participated in such activities as National Honor Society, the International Outreach Coalition, Student Council, Soccer, Basketball, and Lacrosse. In addition, Brooke is a four year honor roll award recipient, and she has completed over 300 hours of community service projects. Brooke plans to major in Elementary Education at the University of Maine.
The Class of 2025 graduation ceremony will be held at the Augusta Civic Center, on Friday, June 6, at 6:30 p.m.
