A devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother, she cherished every moment spent with her family. TODD H. POOLER
CHINA – Todd Harley Pooler, 62, of China, Maine, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025. Todd was born in Winslow, to Larry and Doreen Pooler, and had three siblings.
During Todd’s youth, his father remarried to Dorothy Pooler, at which time he gained a sister, Ronda and brother-in-law Larry Finley. He built a strong bond with his nephews Travis and Justin Finley, of whom he spoke of often and missed dearly.
His late grandmother, Bernice Spaulding, was one of his biggest fans, standing a bold four feet tall, she instilled a strong sense of family, hard work, and community that guided him throughout his life. They shared a love of graham cracker cake, ginger ale and a good Marlboro Light.
As a master plumber, Todd built a respected career and went on to start several small businesses in the Winslow and China, areas, as well as in Brattleboro, Vermont, where he lived for two years with his late fiancée Tammy, and son, Jeremiah.
Known for his skill, and willingness to help anyone in need, he earned the trust and friendship of countless customers and neighbors over the years. Todd loved working beside his father, who was loved and well respected in the China, Winslow and Greenville areas. He cherished the time he spent learning from him.
In the 1980s, Todd’s adventurous side shone through his love of snowmobile racing, where he became well known on the local and New England circuits for his talent, determination, and thrill for speed.
Todd was also a strong advocate for those in recovery, as he courageously traveled that journey himself. His honesty, compassion, and understanding made him a source of strength and hope for many walking similar paths.
In recent years he found joy in life’s simple pleasures – riding his Harley, taking his grandchildren for rides in his Corvette, fixing any clock he saw that wasn’t working, and playing the drums – all reflections of his caring and playful nature.
Beyond his work and passions, Todd’s greatest pride and joy were his daughter, Nicole, his son in-law, Josh Baker, and his three grandchildren – Dawson, Alauna, and Sofia. He adored them deeply and spoke often of how much happiness they brought into his life.
Todd also leaves behind the memory of his older brother Mark, with whom he shared a deep bond and for whom he was a devoted guardian; they are now reunited.
One of Todd’s greatest blessings was having a true friend, one who never gave up on him and stood beside him through trials (literally) and triumphs. His ‘Victoria” never gave up on him, she is the mother of his daughter, and her family loved Todd deeply. He leaves behind many sister in-laws, brother in-laws, nieces and nephews. We believe he was welcomed by his closest brother-in-law, James Littlefield, with a lovely grin and his own set of wings.
Todd will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, humor, generosity, and his ability to connect with people from all walks of life. His legacy lives on through his family, his friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Central Church, in South China, on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those who knew him, honor his memory by wearing his favorite color, purple, make a donation to The Maine Recovery Access Center at, www.me-rap.org, or make a donation to OHI at, www.ohimaine.org/donate.
